Just over a year ago, I re-entered the world of horse ownership again after a 30 year absence. Teresa came into my life on the recommendation from another horse owner friend of mine after finding myself doubting my riding ability, my confidence and even my future with horses after being violently bucked off my horse. Easily said, I was an emotional mess!

After my sessions with Teresa, I was in awe of her understanding of the horse and the animal's way of thinking, moving and being, which goes beyond her years of working with and training horses. She understood where I was in my life as a rider suddenly filled with self-doubt, and helped me re-gain the confidence I had lost, and was able to move myself and my horse past our difficulties. I am amazed at how she seems to feel what I am doing or not doing, before I am even aware of it, and is able to bring out in myself and my horse our own level of communication as a team. I have heard her described as intuitive and insightful, but I believe it goes beyond that. She feels....and with that, she is able to communicate with the horse that goes beyond simple understanding, and she deeply cares.... and loves what she does, which shows. I truly believe that she learns from the horses in her life, and is able to bring out the best in the horses and the people with which she devotes her time. I look forward to continued work with Teresa, and am grateful that she has become a part of my life.

I?ve been around horses my whole life; had my first horse at three years old and believed I had a fairly good level of knowledge??.that is until I met Teresa and learned how to look at things from a different perspective. I?ve learned more and done more in Teresa?s two hour mini clinics than I could ever of imagined. Her unique delivery of information speaks of common sense, intelligence and just pure ?horse sense?!

First and foremost I want to thank Teresa for being my guide as I found my way back to horses. She took the time to get to know me and understand my goals and my desires. As she has worked with me, she has lead me down a path reconnecting me with my horse self?a sort of reawakening. I have to say, sometimes, I?ve wondered what to call Teresa. Horse trainer? Yes, she?s a fantastic horse trainer utilizing and teaching the natural horsemanship skills that I know and have read about?but that label doesn?t encompass what she does. Intuitively she seems to understand what to ask of the horse and what to ask of me in order help us reach a higher level of communication. Personally, she learned when to push me and when to validate me. I have to say not many people have figured that out. Teresa?s timing, energy and intuition seem to be a key part of knowing what to do when. I don't think many people / trainers can put all that together as they work with both horse and rider.

Teresa has gained my trust, which has clearly shown through as I have asked her to work with my daughter. To her you are a mentor and a role model. I look forward to learning more and more on the ground and in the saddle, returning again and again to the honest relationship that I think has to be present between horse and rider.
